Annual Conference
The annual charter school conference is the only statewide gathering of the entire Texas charter school community. More than 1,500 charter school advocates including teachers, administrators, board members, policy makers, and vendors will gather for training, networking, and sharing best practices for charter effectiveness and compliance.
TCSA is hosting the 2010-11 conference in San Antonio at the Grand Hyatt on November 29 - December 1, 2010. The theme for this fall's conference is "Communities United" in preparation for the 82nd Legislative Session in 2011. TCSA is taking the state charter conference to a higher level. We are bringing in national leaders and capitalizing on those in our back yard; providing the most relevant training to help your school achieve profound governance, academic success, and operational compliance. For the first time, TCSA will offer dual participation strands for: Board/Administrators and Teachers. A teacher scholarship program is available to help charters with teacher registration costs. Act quickly; there are only 220 free registrations!
COMING NEXT YEAR... The 2011-12 conference will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis Resort on November 7-9, 2011. Mark this date on your school calendar for your board members, administrative team, and teachers. The Annual Conference Committee is responsible for setting the theme of the conference, securing keynote speakers, sponsors, and quality presenters for the breakout sessions.
